Radiography

Radiographs (X-Rays) are a very important disgnostic tool that can be used in a number of different scenarios.

Fremantle Animal Hospital is fully equipped to take radiographs with our own in-house X-Ray machine.

Our X-Rays are fully digitalised, meaning as soon as they are taken, they are processed and uploaded onto our online database. This ensures that we can diagnose and treat patients as fast as possible.

X-Rays are important in diagnosing multiple issues in pets such as;

- Suspected fractures

- Suspected impaction of the gastrointestinal tract

- Suspected hip or elbow displasia

- Arthritis

- Suspected cruciate ligament tears (a ligament in a dogs knee that has the potential to break or tear and cause significant pain)

We also have the facilities to take X-Rays in surgery meaning we can perform a number of orthopoedic surgeries.
