Microchipping

Microchipping is very important as it is the best way that your pet can be traced back to you if they become lost or stolen.

Microchips are very small implants that get placed under the skin of your animal. Each microchip has its own unique number. Your name, address, contact number and your pets name is linked to the microchip when it is implanted.

Microchips last a lifetime, so once the microchip has been placed, your pet will not need a new one for the remainder of its life. Once the microchip has been placed, your pet won't even know that it is there.

Your details can be updated very easily, for example if you move house or get a new phone. This ensures your pet can always be returned back to you.

Fremantle Animal Hospital offers microchipping and registration of your pet to Central Animal Records.
